Prime Minister to address the nation today

Sheikh Hasina will address the nation on Friday after taking office as Prime Minister for the fourth time.

The speech will be broadcast simultaneously on private TV channels and radio, including Bangladesh Television, Bangladesh Betar, at 7:30 pm.
This information was given in a press release signed by the Prime Minister's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim.

Sheikh Hasina became the Prime Minister for the first time after winning the election in 1996. The Awami League formed the government by winning the national elections in 2008 and 2014. Sheikh Hasina was the Prime Minister in both those terms.

Bangabandhu's daughter assumed office as the head of government for the third consecutive time and a total of four times after winning the 11th National Parliament election on December 30.
