ASM Rab's new political alliance 'Yuktafont': Chief B Chowdhury

Dhaka: A new political alliance has emerged headed by Bikalpdhara President Professor Dr. AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury. The alliance was formed under the name 'Yukta Front' at a meeting at the residence of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) President ASM Abdur Rab in Uttara on Monday night. Initially, there are four parties in the Yukta Front, said JSD General Secretary Abdul Malek Ratan.

The parties are Bikalpakdhara Bangladesh led by former President B. Chowdhury, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) led by ASM Abdur Rab, Krishak Sramik Janata League led by Bangabir Abdul Quader Siddiqui, and Nagorik Oikya led by Mahmudur Rahman Manna.

Abdul Malek Ratan said, "In today's meeting, a united front was formed with B. Chowdhury as its head. It will take another two weeks for this alliance to make its official debut." He also said that details about who else is with the alliance will be announced at that time.

However, the leaders of these parties have met several times before with the aim of forming an alliance.

In addition to the top four leaders of the four parties, Bikalpadahra Secretary General Major (retd.) Abdul Mannan, Joint Secretary General Mahi B. Chowdhury, JSB General Secretary Abdul Malek Ratan and other central leaders of the parties were present at the meeting on Monday night.
