Several Muslim countries around the world have already announced the dates for Eid al-Adha, one of the most important religious festivals of Muslims. These include Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Brunei.

They have set the date for Eid al-Azha as the moon of the month of Zilhaj was sighted in several countries on Tuesday.

Indonesia was the first to announce the date of Eid. The moon of the month of Zilhaj was sighted in Indonesia on Tuesday. As a result, the country has officially announced that Eid al-Adha will be celebrated on June 6 (the 10th of the month of Zilhaj).

The country's National Astronomical Institute said the moon of the month of Zilhaj was sighted in the skies of Indonesia on Tuesday evening.

Meanwhile, the moon has also been sighted in Saudi Arabia. As a result, the country has announced that Eid al-Adha will be celebrated on June 6, the day after the holy Hajj. The country's Supreme Council said that the moon of the month of Zilhaj was sighted in the sky of Saudi Arabia on Tuesday (May 27) evening. As a result, the month of Zilhaj is going to start from May 28 according to the English calendar.

In addition, the Middle Eastern countries of the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait and Oman have announced the celebration of the holy Eid al-Adha on June 6. The moon of the holy month of Zilhaj was sighted in these countries on Tuesday evening. As a result, the month of Zilhaj will begin on Wednesday. The countries have taken this decision based on the sighting of the religious authorities and the regional moon.

Australia has also announced the date of Eid. The country is going to celebrate Eid on the same day as the Middle East as the moon of the holy month of Zilhaj was sighted on Tuesday. The Grand Mufti of Australia has announced that Eid will be celebrated in that country on June 6.

Countries that will celebrate Eid on June 7:

In South Asian countries including Malaysia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Brunei, India and several countries in Southeast Asia, the month of Zilhaj will begin on May 29 as the moon was not sighted on Tuesday. As a result, the holy Eid-ul-Adha will be celebrated in these countries on June 7.

Bangladesh's National Moon Sighting Committee will announce the moon sighting on Wednesday evening, May 28. Depending on the moon sighting, Eid in Bangladesh may fall on June 7 or 8. However, June 7 is being considered as the likely date for Eid. A 10-day public holiday has already been declared from June 5 to 14 on the occasion of Eid.
