Online admission applications for class 11 will be accepted from May 12. Admissions will be completed by June 30 and classes will start on July 1. This time too, admissions will be made on the basis of merit in all college seats. The government has set the admission schedule for class 11 before the results of this year's SSC exam are published. However, this time the government sector's expenditure on the admission process is increasing. The application confirmation (registration) fee is being increased to 195 taka instead of 185 taka. Late admission will have to pay 100 taka instead of 50 taka and irregular students (earls) will have to pay 150 taka instead of 1 taka.

It has been decided to keep admission and other fees in the institution the same as last year. Colleges and madrasas will have to announce in advance the amount of money they will charge during admission through a notice. If any charges are made against them after admission without declaring the money fraudulently, strict legal action will be taken.

An official of the Dhaka Board said, "The fees for admission to class XI and other subjects were fixed about a decade and a half ago. The cost of admission-related work has increased. Due to this, the fees are being increased slightly."

A meeting was recently held at the Ministry of Education to finalize the admission policy regarding the admission process. According to the initial decision taken in the meeting, applications for admission to class XI will start on May 12. This time too, applications will be taken in three phases. Applications can be made online and via SMS on mobile phones. To eliminate the confusion of college choice, students will be able to change the order of college preference in the application list until the results of the first phase of application are published.

After getting admission in a college, students will have to confirm their admission (registration). Last year, 185 taka was charged for this. This time, 10 taka will be increased to 195 taka. Admission late fee will be 100 taka instead of 50 taka. It has been proposed to set a fee of 150 taka instead of 100 taka for students who take a break or year loss.

The draft policy will conduct admissions through online and SMS, just like last year. Applications can be made online to a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 colleges or madrasas. A fee of 150 taka will be charged for this.

You can apply to one college per SMS on your mobile phone. You will have to pay 120 taka for this. However, no student will be able to apply to more than 10 institutions combined through SMS and online. This time too, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) is providing technical assistance in the admission process.

The policy sets the admission fee for class 11, including session charges, at Tk 1,000 in the Mofussil/Pura (Upazila) area, Tk 2,000 in the Pur (District Sadar) area, and Tk 3,000 in all other metropolitan areas except Dhaka.

However, in the case of admission of students to MPO-affiliated institutions located in metropolitan areas, no more than five thousand taka can be collected. The salary and allowance of partially MPO-affiliated or non-MPO teachers located in metropolitan areas, including admission fee, session charge and development fee, has been fixed at a maximum of nine thousand taka in the Bangla medium and ten thousand taka in the English version.

To stop fake admissions and confirmations, there will be an application from a mobile phone in which the national identity card number of the father or mother as the guardian will have to be added.

This time, all the admission seats will be filled on the basis of merit. However, there are various quotas - 5 percent for freedom fighters in the capital, 3 percent in divisional and district headquarters. 2 percent in all departments subordinate to the Ministry of Education, 0.5 percent in BKSP and 0.5 percent for expatriates. If suitable candidates are not found in these quotas, no one else can be admitted to this seat.
