Jatiya Party to remain in opposition in 11th Parliament

Jatiya Party Chairman Hussain Muhammad Ershad has said that the Jatiya Party will serve as the main opposition party in the 11th National Parliament. It was also announced that there will be no Jatiya Party members in the cabinet.

The party chairman made this information known in a press release on Friday.
The press release said that Hussain Muhammad Ershad will be the ex-officio chairman of the Jatiya Party parliamentary party and the party's co-chairman Golam Mohammad Quader will serve as the deputy leader. No Jatiya Party MP will be included in the cabinet.

Ershad requested the Honorable Speaker of Parliament to take necessary action in this regard.
