Facebook, the world's most popular social media platform under Meta, has become active after being inactive for more than an hour.
The social media platform started operating after 10:30 pm on Tuesday, Bangladesh time.
Users started reporting problems after 9pm that night. They said they were unable to access Facebook and Instagram. Even those who were logged in to Facebook were automatically logged out.
Website monitor Downdetector also reported problems with Facebook and Instagram.
British media outlet Daily Mail reported in a report that problems have arisen with Facebook and Instagram all over the world. No one is able to access Facebook and Instagram anywhere in the world. Both the websites and apps of these two media have become inoperable.
The Down Detector graph shows that as of 9:20 PM, 315,817 Facebook users had reported problems using Facebook. Then, as of 9:32 PM, 541,573 users had reported problems. They are also asking what happened to the social media platform? Why can't I log in? When will it be fixed?
Meanwhile, many people have panicked after suddenly not being able to access Facebook. SP Md. Nazmul Islam of DMP's Cyber Crime Unit has requested them not to panic.
In a video message, he said, "Facebook's operations are currently experiencing some disruption. We have already spoken to the authorities in Bangladesh and the Facebook authorities in Singapore about this issue. They said they are working to resolve the problem. The problem will be resolved soon."
He also said, "This is a technical problem with Facebook, no one should panic. There is no fault with the Facebook account holder or the Facebook app. There is no connection to passwords or financial matters. Your Facebook has not been hacked, so no one should panic. The problem will be resolved soon."
In addition to Downdetector, users have reported Facebook outages on tracking websites, apps, and various websites. The number of complaints has suddenly increased since 10 pm tonight.
