Sheikh Hasina arrives in Washington DC

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has reached Otashington DC from New York on Saturday (September 24) after attending the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) at the United Nations Headquarters and various events at the High Level.

Prime Minister's Deputy Press Secretary KM Shakhaot Moon said that the Prime Minister and his entourage arrived from New York on Saturday evening and reached Otashington DC.

Earlier, the Prime Minister attended Queen Elizabeth II's funeral from September 15 to 19. After his visit to the United Kingdom (UK), he reached New York on September 19. During his stay in New York, Sheikh Hasina addressed the general debate of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

He gave a Bengali speech on September 23 following the footsteps of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. From September 20 to 23, Sheikh Hasina took part in bilateral discussions with heads of government, state and organizations along with several high-level and closed door meetings.
