He delivers short, concise speeches in markets, neighborhoods, courtyards, and tea shops. His speeches have generated a public response.

Abdur Rahman Didar said in his speech, "I have become an independent chairman candidate in the upcoming Upazila Parishad elections. What do you want? An alcoholic, gambler, extortionist, immoral, drug addict, and bad person to be the chairman?"
Would you vote for such a person?

He further said, "I retired after serving in the Bangladesh Army for 16 years. I went to Africa on a mission from the army. There I learned how to love people, how to stand by people, how to lead."

I know how to serve people through leadership qualities and characteristics. I know how to develop the area and society. I know how to ensure education, medical services and prevent corruption.

He said, "You will choose your candidates and go to the polling station on March 24 to cast your valuable votes. I hope to serve you by being elected with your votes."

Abdur Rahman is the cultural affairs secretary of Didar District Sechchhasebak League and the son of the late Gafur Tahsildar, former chairman of the largest Char Lawrence UP.
