‘Khaleda Geeta to be transferred to Keraniganj Jail’

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said that BNP Chairman Khaleda Gita will be shifted from Nazim Uddin Road Jail to Central Jail in Keraniganj.

The Home Minister said this at the closing ceremony of Vidarshan Bhavana Practice including Savar Ashulita Bangabandhu Road area. Bodhigyan Bhavna Kendra (Buddhist Vihar) in Savar on Wednesday afternoon.
The Home Minister also said that the Nazim Uddin Road prison is already very old and dangerous, so the government has taken up the task of converting this prison into a museum, so there is no alternative to shifting Begum Khaleda Jita to Keraniganj as a prisoner.

In response to the question of when Khaleda Ji will be shifted to Keraniganj, the Home Minister said, "We have started the process and this decision will be implemented soon."

Regarding the rumors that Khaleda Geeta is being released on parole on parole subject to conditions, the Home Minister said that no such proposal has come to the government so far from the BNP, so far, Begum Khaleda has been jailed as a convicted accused in the corruption case.

At the same time, he said that the people rejected the terrorist activities in the name of BNP politics.
