Bangladesh Aomi League Joint General Secretary and Dhaka-8 Constituency Member of Parliament agriculturist AFM Bahauddin Nashim said, ‘We want a peaceful and prosperous Bangladesh. To build a better and prosperous Bangladesh, we must protect our country from communal forces. We all have to unite against those who want to destroy democratic practices and continuity. We all have to be united against those who are under the leadership of Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina.’
He said this while inaugurating the capital's Motijheel ‘South Potent Nagar Baitamagar’ on Wednesday (March 6) morning.
‘We will promote the democratic continuity to the rich Bangladesh, awakened Bangladesh and the golden Bangladesh of the heroic nation. The golden Bangladesh will be a democratic Bangladesh, that golden Bangladesh will be a country without discrimination between rich and poor. Under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina, we will establish a modern self-respecting and beautiful peace Bangladesh, this is our goal.’
Nashim said, ‘If we want to move our country forward, we have to build a drug-free Bangladesh. If drugs are eradicated, the young generation will grow up healthy. Bangladesh will be freed from terrorism and extortion. One of the goals of Hon'ble Prime Minister Deshratna Sheikh Hasina is to build a Bangladesh free from terrorism, extortionist and drug abuse.’
He said, ‘The campaign against drugs under the leadership of Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina will continue. In addition to this, we have to be prepared against drugs. We have to protect our young generation from drugs. These businesses will play an important role in the success of drugs. If you do it, your physical and mental health will be good. Drugs can never make them addicted. Drug-free Bangladesh is the prime minister's commitment.’
He further said, ‘The heart of the body builders with a fit body is the old Dhaka of Dhaka South City Corporation. Dhaka South City Corporation has taken initiative to present Dhaka to the people of the old trend. They will play a strong role in making Dhaka city drug free by building more such labs in the coming days.’
Dhaka South City Corporation Mayor Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Tapas, Dhaka Metropolitan South Awami League President Bir Muktijoddha Abu Ahmed Mannafi and local councilors and Awami League leaders were present in the event.
