Three poets and writers received the Gemcon Literary Award

Two poets Kamal Chowdhury and Shakib Mahmud and fiction writer Sajidul Islam have received the Jemkon Literary Award-2022.

On Thursday, the Abdul Karim Sahitya Bisharad Auditorium of Bangla Academy handed over the checks, crests and certificates to the three people of the awardee, MP and Vice Chairman of the Gemcon Group, Kazi Nabil Ahmed announced the names of the Bijatis.

‘Poet Kamal Chowdhury has received the Gemcon Literary Award for his poetry book ’Stabdhata Jari Gheche'. He has received a check of five lakh rupees with the award.

Shakib Mahmud has won the Gemcon Literary Award for his ‘Sleeping Bai’ manuscript in the youth category, while Sajidul Islam has received the award for the novel ‘Sonar Nao Pawaner Baitha’. These two writers have received a check of one lakh rupees with honors separately.
