The Laxmipur Zilla Parishad Election 2022 will be held on October 17. Former Chairman of the Zilla Parishad, Alhaj Md Shah Jahan, will be elected unopposed in this election.

Meanwhile, in the evening, in order to re-elect Saikat Mahmud Shamchu as a member of the Zilla Parishad elections, a discussion meeting was organized at Ramganj Circuit House on Saturday (September 24) evening, which gave Saikat Mahmud Shamchu a party support for Awami League while two member candidates Nazrul Islam and Mahbub Khan Fahim Saikat have withdrawn their nomination papers in support of Mahmud Samchu.

Member of Parliament of Laxmipur-1 Ramganj Constituency was present as the chief guest in the meeting. Anwar Hossain Khan was also present at the time, the general secretary of the Upazila Awami League. a. m. Ruhul Amin, Vice Chairman of Upazila Parishad Delwar Hossain Dewan Bachchu, General Secretary of Municipal Aomi League former Metor Belal Ahmed Belal, Female Vice Chairman Suraita Akhter Siuli along with 10 Union Chairman, Members and Municipal Councilors of Zilla Parishad were present. Ramganj Upazila Aomi League President Advocate Safiq Mahmud Pintu supported the mobile phone and gave support to the mobile phone, Awami League, Jubo League, Chhatra League, Svesasebak League, Sramik League, Krishak League, Fishermen League and other leaders were present in the discussion meeting.
