A common health problem is toothache. Although it may seem minor, it is quite serious. Only those who suffer from this problem understand how terrible it is. In common language, it is also called molar or root pain.

If this pain is severe, the mouth may also swell. Toothache can be caused by bacteria and infection. Our teeth have pulp inside. Which is filled with nerve tissue and blood vessels. These nerves along with the pulp are the most sensitive parts of the body. If these nerves are infected by bacteria, it can cause severe pain. There are some home remedies that can be used to reduce toothache. Learn about some of these ways-

Baking soda paste

This ingredient is very useful for getting rid of toothache. Mix baking soda with your regular toothpaste and brush your teeth. You will get relief from the pain within a few minutes.

Ice on the painful area

According to the NCBI report, ice works to treat any inflammation. If you have a toothache, apply cold compresses with an ice pack. Do this for at least 15 minutes.

Tea bag

It is recommended to use various types of tea bags to get relief from the pain caused by toothache. The warmth of the tea helps to reduce swelling. In addition, tea bags also play an effective role in directly reducing pain. The tannic acid in tea helps to reduce inflammation.

Cloves are also beneficial.

The use of cloves for toothache relief is quite old. Place a whole clove just above the painful tooth and you will get relief. According to studies, the antibacterial and antiseptic properties of this spice help reduce infection. Clove oil can also be used on the affected area.

Gargle with warm water and salt.

According to studies, salt is a natural disinfectant. Gargling with warm water mixed with salt provides immediate relief from toothache. Doctors also recommend this as a first aid treatment. Swish water in your mouth and hold it there for a while. Then spit it out. Repeat the process 4/5 times a day.

Use these methods to avoid suffering from toothache and stay healthy.
