Police recovered the hanging body of an unidentified person from a wood garden in Narsingdi.
The body was recovered from Kathbagan near Raktbara-Baraicha Regional Saak of Beltali area of North Bakharnagar Union of Rashtpura Upazila of Narsingdi District at around 10 am on Sunday (November 27).
Confirming the truth of the incident, Sub-Inspector of Raatpura police station Zahirul Islam said that the unidentified person has an estimated 50/55 years of age. The members of the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) have collected fingerprints to identify his identity.
According to the police and local sources, the body of the man was hanging from a tree branch in a wood garden near the tree, the local farmers saw the scene while working in the land next to the garden. After informing the police, the police recovered the body in a lungi and short Punjabi. Two Napa tablets and bags were found from his pocket.
According to local sources, the unidentified person was seen roaming around the wood garden on Saturday, the next morning, the body was hanging from a tree in the garden, and the man was believed to be from another area.
Ratpura police station Sub-Inspector Zahirul Islam also said that the police are working to identify the deceased and after the surtal of the body, the mortuary has been sent to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital morgue for investigation and further legal action is under process.
