A medical camp was held at Narsingdi Intellectually Retarded and Autistic School on the occasion of the 31st International and 24th National Disabled Day in Narsingdi.
On Sunday (December 4), from 11 am to 2 pm, 50 students with intellectual disabilities and autism were provided with eye, dental and pediatric treatment at Narsingdi Swedish Intellectually Disabled and Autistic School with the overall support of Narsingdi Sadar Upazila Health and Family Planning Office and Dhaka Progressive Lions Hospital.
The chief guest at the medical camp was Dr. Md. Abu Kausar Suman, Sadar Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer, and his representative, Dr. Sanjay Kumar Saha. Dr. Md. Abdullah Al Mamun, and Dr. Subrata Kumar Das, Medical Officer of Dhaka Progressive Lions Hospital, participated in providing healthcare to the children.
Free medicines were provided to the eye patients among the students in the camp. The medical camp was presided over by Md. Jasim Uddin Sarkar, Headmaster of Narsingdi Swede School for the Intellectually Retarded and Autistic. Md. A. Rahim, Inclusion Officer, Dhaka Progressive Lions Eye Hospital, was in overall supervision.
