Netrakona Agama variety of Aman paddy harvesting has started. After harvesting the paddy is over, the district agriculture department has suggested the cultivation of mustard and vegetables on the same land.
Netrakona is one of the few food in the country and is one of the rice surplus districts. After visiting different areas of the district and talking to the farmers, it is known that the farmers are expecting a good yield that the weather will be favorable in the next season due to lack of rain and drought due to lack of rain and drought.
Farmers are dreaming of the food of the family, the increase in demand for food as a cow's feed and the good price of rice.
According to the sources of the District Agriculture Extension Directorate, the district has set a target of 1 lakh 32 thousand 5 hundred and 80 hectares of paddy cultivation in the current Aman season. However, the cultivation has been done on 1 lakh 33 thousand 75 hectares. The production target of this amount of land is 3 lakh 62 thousand 596 metric tons.
Local agriculture officials said that farmers will be able to cut the early varieties of Aman paddy and cultivate mustard crops as a crop in that land, which will be able to grow winter vegetables including potatoes, eggplant, which is the next Sameta Samtam that the farmers have provided for the cultivation of Boro rice cultivation, so the cultivation of early varieties of Aman rice is increasing every year.
Deputy Director of Netrakona Agricultural Extension Department, Agriculturist Mohammad Nuruzzaman said that the cultivation of the district has been good. Cutting the paddy of the early varieties and cultivating mustard, potato and vegetables will be good for the farmers. Again, the cultivation of mustard and vegetables will be done in the same land and cultivate Iri-Boro rice in the same land.
