Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Khan Md. Nurul Huda said that the Election Commission (EC) will decide on the deployment of the army considering the environmental situation of the 11th National Parliament election.

He said this in response to a question from media personnel at a press conference held at the Election Building in Agargaon on Thursday.

Responding to a question from journalists about the process of deploying the army in the current legal framework, the CEC said, "The EC will decide how the army will be recruited and what their responsibilities will be. The time to talk about this has not yet come. Let the elections come and then we will see considering the environmental situation. However, the army can be deployed in the existing framework."

The EC has initiated a dialogue with stakeholders on the announced action plan ahead of the 11th National Parliament Election. As part of this, the Commission held dialogues with civil society representatives on July 31, media representatives on August 16 and 17, 40 political parties from August 24 to October 19, election observers on October 22, women leaders on October 23, and election experts on October 24. The dialogue, which lasted for about three months, ended last Tuesday. This press conference was organized today at the Commission's conference room on various issues of the dialogue.

At the beginning of the dialogue, the CEC said that more than 400 valuable and directional recommendations and suggestions were received through the dialogue.
These recommendations and suggestions will be compiled in November and published in book form in December.

In response to another question, the CEC said, "I hope all parties, including BNP, will participate in the elections. The commission sincerely wants all parties, including BNP, to participate in the elections. Because BNP is a big party. We believe that an environment of trust has been created."
