Wife murdered by husband in Faridpur

Faridpur Correspondent-

A housewife named Nupur Akhtar (25) was allegedly murdered by her husband in Boalmari municipality of Faridpur. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Boalmari Police Station Muhammad Abdul Wahab confirmed the truth of the information on Friday (October 21) morning.

Earlier, on Thursday (October 20), the murder took place in Madhragati village of Boalmari municipality around 11 pm. Locals claim that the murder was committed due to his wife's infidelity.

Locals said that husband Musa Molya (32) stabbed his wife Nupur with a sharp weapon due to extramarital affairs. Later, Nupur was rescued and taken to Boalmari Upazila Health Complex. When her condition deteriorated there, Nupur died around 1 am on the way to Dhaka via Faridpur Medical Hospital. Husband Musa is said to be the son of Kawsar Molya of Madhgargati village.

Boalmari Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Muhammad Abdul Wahab said, "A police team has been sent to the spot after receiving the information. We will be able to provide more details about this later," the police official said.
