GMG Group director arrested with huge amount of drugs in Banani

The Narcotics Control Department (NCD) conducted an anti-drug operation at a flat in Banani, Dhaka, during which a huge amount of drugs were seized.

A raid was conducted on a flat at house number 77, Road No. 11, M Block, Banani on Sunday (September 4) afternoon.

During the search, the director of Samah Razor Blades Industrial Limited, a subsidiary of the GMG Group, was arrested. His name is Salim Sattar.

Confirming the matter, Assistant Director of Dhaka Metro North of the Narcotics Control Department Md. Mehedi Hasan said that based on advance information, a huge amount of foreign liquor, MDMA and synthetic marijuana was recovered during a raid on a luxurious flat on Road No. 11 in Banani.

Mehedi Hasan also said that a man named Selim, who claimed to be a Canadian citizen, has been arrested in this incident.

He is also a citizen of Bangladesh. He is the director of a subsidiary of the GMG Group. Mehedi Hasan also said that details about the operation will be announced later.
