Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal-JSD President Mr. ASM Abdur Rab and General Secretary Mr. Abdul Malek Ratan have expressed deep shock and concern over the terrible fire in Banani in a statement. Such incidents are the result of unplanned urbanization. How unreasonable it is to build such high-rise buildings without fire control measures is proven by the fact that the fire could not be brought under control in a few hours despite the death of several people, numerous injuries and destruction of huge property. They expressed hope that the leaders will examine whether there are all kinds of facilities to deal with various disasters including car parking, fire extinguishing and earthquakes before giving permission to build such high-rise buildings.
