744 more people die from coronavirus worldwide

In the last 24 hours, 744 people have died from COVID-19 around the world, bringing the global death toll to 6.61 million.

During the same period, 268,464 new cases of the virus were reported, bringing the total number of cases since the start of the pandemic to 636,763,502.

Meanwhile, Japan has recorded the highest number of new coronavirus infections in the world in the last 24 hours. The country has reported 67,473 new cases of the coronavirus and 69 deaths. The United States tops the list of daily fatalities.

In the last 24 hours, 27,375 new coronavirus cases have been reported in this country and 164 people have died.
