Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday issued a decree to prepare 300,000 new troops to be sent to Ukraine.

After his announcement, there was a lot of excitement in China. Ordinary Chinese people supported Putin's decision on the Chinese social media Weibo. One person on Weibo wrote, "The influence that the United States is trying to spread must be stopped. And this time, this is the opportunity."

Another wrote, "If Russia loses to the West and the United States, the West's next target will be China. Because then China will be the only power to fight the West. They will try to weaken China."

Another wrote, "From our country's perspective, we need a Russia that is neither strong nor weak." Meanwhile, very few people on Weibo commented against the war. But after a while, those comments were no longer found.
