Weapons recovered, 6 arrested in Lakshmipur's Ramganj clash

Lakshmipur: Police have arrested six people in connection with a clash between two factions of Jubo League in Ramganj, Lakshmipur. An LG and a chapati were recovered during the clash. They were arrested from different places in the upazila on Saturday (October 28) morning.
The arrested are Tuhin, Arif Hossain, Chayan, Sumon, Saiful Islam and Palash. The police said that the arrested are workers of Jubo League and Awami League.
Earlier, on Friday (October 27), a clash and shooting incident took place at around 8 pm in Athakra Bazar of Bholakot Union of the upazila between supporters of Upazila Jubo League Senior Vice President and local UP Chairman Bashir Ahmed Manik and supporters of Ward No. 6 Jubo League President Mohin Driver over the issue of dominance. In this, 4 people were injured, including 2 people named Emran and Kabir, who were shot.

Ramganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Tota Mia confirmed the arrest of six people and the recovery of weapons, saying that preparations for the case are underway at the police station.
