Eid-ul-Adha celebrated early in 10 villages of Lakshmipur

 Lakshmipur: Eid-ul-Adha is being celebrated in advance in 10 villages of Lakshmipur in line with Saudi Arabia. The main Eid prayer congregation was held at 10 am on Friday (September 1) at the Talimun Quran Noorani Madrasa ground in Noagaon Bazar of Ramganj Upazila. Maulana Aminul Islam led the congregation. In addition, Eid prayers were offered in the Eidgah grounds of 10 villages including Joypura, Bigha, Barogharia, Hotatia, Sharshoi, Kanchanpur and Raipur Upazilas of Ramganj Upazila of the district and Bashikpur village of Sadar Upazila. Later, they sacrificed animals. As followers of Maulana Ishaq (RA), the people of these areas have been celebrating all religious festivals including Eid in line with the holy lands of Mecca and Medina. The Muslims of these villages have been celebrating Eid in line with Saudi Arabia for the last 37 years.
