Lakshmipur: The Detective Branch (DB) has recovered an abandoned automatic firearm (SMG) from Ramgati in Lakshmipur.
Ramgati Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Iqbal Hossain confirmed the matter on Sunday (October 29) afternoon. Earlier, the weapon was recovered from the Char Algi area of the upazila on Saturday (October 28) night.
According to intelligence police sources, a raid was conducted in the Alexander area of Ramgati police station at night to recover weapons and narcotics. During this, based on a secret tip-off, an SMG was recovered from Char Algi. An investigation is underway in this regard.
