Protesters in Ramganj, Laxmipur, have staged a broom procession against a police officer for beating up a garbage truck driver, Khorshed Alam. They marched in front of the municipality this morning, carrying brooms.
At the same time, the Ramganj Municipality Service Association has suspended all service activities of the municipality for an indefinite period, demanding the withdrawal of the accused police officer, SI Faruk of Ramganj Police Station. The residents of the municipality are suffering immensely due to this.

It is worth mentioning that on Saturday afternoon, municipal employee Khorshed was returning to his office with a truck after removing garbage. At that time, when he reached the food warehouse area, Khorshed drove away without giving way to SI Farooq's motorcycle. SI Farooq got angry and stopped the truck and beat him up in the open market. During this, his mobile phone was broken. This can be clearly seen on the municipality's CCTV camera. Khorshed is currently undergoing treatment at the Upazila Health Complex.
