In the upcoming 11th National Assembly elections, four leaders have been expelled from the district Awami League on Saturday and Friday for allegedly campaigning for an independent candidate without part of the election campaign for the candidate of the grand alliance plow marker in Lakshmipur-2 (Raintpur) constituency.

The four leaders who were expelled are Juthel Mridha, president of Raput Municipal Labor League, Iftekhar Rath of Municipal Chhatra League, President of Kerota Unit Youth League Md. Kamal Hossain and Joint Convener of Municipal No. 2nd Volunteer League Shanto Islam.

According to the sources of the Dalit, four leaders of Jubo League, Chhatra League, Volunteer League and Sramik League were accused of campaigning for independent candidate Shahid Islam Papul outside the decision of the party, which has been sent to the district and center for the final expulsion of the four accused from the party.

Upazila Aomi League General Secretary Haji Ismail Khokon said that four leaders have been expelled for the crime of breaking the chain of Dalit and working for the independent candidate without working for the Grand Alliance candidate. He said that disciplinary action will be taken against anyone who violates the Dalit decision.
