Police are arresting a youth named Osman Gani alias Pitas (30) with a desi made LG and one round of cartridges in Lakshmipur.

He was arrested from Meghna Road in the district city on Saturday (September 17) night.

The police have reported that several cases have been filed against him by various police stations against him in Nabinagar village under Chandraganj police station of Pitas Sadar Upazila.

The police have learned that the weapon was taken to the sale of Lakshmipur municipality area on the basis of secret information. Based on the secret information, the police raided the spot and tried to escape the police.

Laxmipur District Superintendent of Police (SP) Mahfuzzaman Ashraf said that the detained Pistas had come to sell the weapon in Laxmipur town, which has been filed against him by various police stations and preparations for the Arms Act are being prepared in his name.
