Lakshmipur-1 MP Dr. Anwar Hossain Khan said that all the officials and employees of the hospital must perform their duties diligently to maintain the continuity of the current government's development. Doctors and nurses must be more sincere in providing services to patients. Ramganj Upazila Health Complex is the largest and most reliable in this region. It is the only refuge for the common man in his illness. Therefore, more attention needs to be paid to improving the quality of service. The MP called on the hospital authorities to ensure that patients coming from remote areas do not face any kind of harassment while coming to the hospital.
Anwar Khan MP said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the management committee meeting held at the Ramganj Upazila Health Complex in Lakshmipur on Sunday (October 16) afternoon to ensure proper management of the hospital and improve the quality of medical services.
MP Anwar Khan further said, "The Awami League government is the people's government. Sheikh Hasina's government is working to ensure the basic needs of the grassroots people. In line with this, we are committed to ensuring healthcare for the grassroots people."
The meeting, moderated by Hospital Management Committee Member Secretary Dr. Gunmoy Poddar, was attended by, among others, former Mayor of Ramganj Municipality Belal Ahmed, Upazila Parishad Women Vice Chairman Suraiya Akhter Shiuli, Upazila Social Service Officer Md. Anwar Hossain, Bir Muktijoddha Toshaddek Hossain Manik Mal, Councilor Mehedi Hasan Shuvo, Kanchanpur Union Parishad Chairman Md. Nasir Uddan Khan, Ramganj Press Club President Sakhawat Hossain, General Secretary Md. Kausar Hossain, Ramganj Government Hospital Dr. Mohammad Saiful Amin, Statistician Md. Gias Uddin Manik, Storekeeper Md. Kamal Hossain, Nursing Supervisor Savitri Devi, Senior Staff Nurse Md. Sultana Jahan, Office Assistant Md. Syed Ahmed, etc.
At the beginning of the meeting, everyone present thanked Anwar Khan MP for all kinds of cooperation including oxygen cylinders, oxygen concentrators, pulse oximeters, masks, gloves, and cell counter machines provided by Anwar Khan MP on his own initiative during the second wave of Covid-19. Later, in order to improve the quality of services, an application was made to solve the problem of nurse shortage, and to recruit manpower in all related offices on an urgent basis, including X-ray machines, radiographers, and 20 nurses. In addition, importance was laid on improving the capacity from 31 beds to 50 beds. Later, the MP inspected the hospital.
