Are you worried about your weight? A healthy lifestyle and diet can help you maintain a healthy weight. People who are addicted to junk food tend to gain weight.

Calories are a way of measuring weight. If you want to lose weight, you need to eat fewer calories than you burn each day, meaning you need to eat fewer calories or eat less calorie-rich foods.

In that case, you need to know which foods are low in calories and eat low-calorie foods accordingly. If you try to lose weight by not eating or eating very little, it is seen that after a few days or a few days, you give up this method due to extreme hunger and return to your previous state, so you need to adopt some sustainable and effective methods to lose weight, which are as follows:

Dr. Md. Taufiqur Rahman Faruk, professor of medicine and cardiologist at Medinova Medical, gave details on this matter.

Protein foods are low in calories.

Eating more protein-rich foods is the easiest, most effective, most delicious, most scientific, and least painful way to lose weight. Eating protein-rich foods makes you feel full faster with less food, meaning that you feel less hungry and your body's metabolic rate increases because it takes a lot of energy to digest and metabolize protein-rich foods, break them down, produce energy, or do other things.

Protein or non-protein foods require more energy to digest or metabolize, which is 80-120 calories more. If a person eats 30 percent of their diet as protein, they will consume 441 calories less food per day.

Therefore, by adding a moderate amount of protein to food, on the one hand, fewer calories enter the body, while on the other hand, calorie expenditure is also increased. Protein foods reduce the intensity of our hunger.

People who are on a diet and want to lose weight without eating sometimes feel a strong feeling of hunger, as a result they cannot stay without eating, as a result it becomes difficult to lose weight and the weight keeps on gaining back as before. Protein foods reduce such sudden strong feelings of hunger.

A study shows that if a meal contains 25 percent protein or non-protein, this protein or non-protein reduces the brain's thoughts about food by 60 percent and reduces the desire or tendency to eat late at night or early in the morning by 50 percent.

Therefore, if someone wants to make a weight loss program effective and sustainable or permanent and wants to lose weight with less difficulty, they should include at least 30 percent protein or non-vegetarian foods in their diet. This will ensure that the weight does not return, as well as losing weight.

Sugary soft drinks and fruit juices should be avoided.

Soda, fruit juice, chocolate milk, and other soft drinks such as Coca-Cola, Fanta, Miranda, and Pepsi, where excess sugar is added, are harmful and should be avoided, because sugar enters our body with extra calories and increases our weight.

Children are 60 percent more likely to be overweight or obese if they drink sugary soft drinks every day. In addition to weight gain, these sugary soft drinks can cause a variety of diseases.

Natural juices or fruit juices are healthy, but if excess sugar is added to the juice, it is harmful. These sugary drinks actually have no beneficial effects, but are harmful in the long run.

Drinking more water helps you lose weight.

One of the tricks for losing weight is to drink more water every day. Drinking more water burns extra calories. Drinking 4 glasses or 2 liters of water every day burns 96 extra calories without any physical exertion.

Moreover, drinking water on an empty stomach before meals will partially fill the stomach, reduce hunger, and fill the stomach with less food, automatically resulting in fewer calories entering the body.

A 12-week study found that drinking 1-2 liters of water 1-2 hours before a meal resulted in 44 percent more weight loss, so drinking more water along with a healthy, low-calorie diet is effective for weight loss. Caffeinated drinks such as green tea and coffee are healthy and helpful for weight loss because these drinks help the body burn extra calories.

Exercise regularly.

When we eat low-calorie foods, our body wants to conserve energy, to store energy by expending less energy. So, long-term weight loss programs or dieting or eating less reduces our body's metabolic or physiological calorie expenditure.

Moreover, it dries out our body's muscles, so to lose weight, in addition to eating less high-calorie foods, you also need to do weightlifting to maintain muscle mass, which will prevent muscle wasting and maintain metabolic activity.

So to lose weight, we don't just want to reduce body fat, we also want to keep our body in shape, so that we don't look ugly, skinny, but rather look good. Along with weight lifting, we need to do regular aerobic exercises like walking, swimming, and jogging.

Eat less refined sugar and carbohydrates.

Carbohydrates or sugary foods contain a lot of calories, so you should eat less carbohydrate foods such as rice, bread, potatoes, sugar, sweets, honey, and soft drinks.

Studies have shown that low-calorie diets, i.e., low-carbohydrate and low-fat diets, are 2-3 times more effective in weight loss. In addition, low-carbohydrate diets prevent other diseases such as diabetes and metabolic syndrome, while complex carbohydrates with fiber, such as brown rice, are not harmful to the body, but beneficial.
