In some of the posts on social media X, ‘Operation Aspides’ has issued new guidelines for the shipping industry, where commercial ships have been asked to register and maritime security channels to apply for the same support.
The mission also noted that their resources are on alert in the Red Sea area, in support of protecting commercial ships and ensuring freedom of navigation.
Earlier in 2023, Houthi took military action against Israeli aggression in Palestine. Since then, Israeli and Western ships, who have mainly supported the Tel Aviv genocide, have been hit by them for a long time. The ships have been closed for the long distances of transporting fuel and goods from the Middle East to the coast of South Africa.
