There is only a month left until the start of the upcoming T20 World Cup. As always, all the countries will play warm-up matches before the main event of this World Cup.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the schedule of warm-up matches in a statement on Thursday. Shakib Al Hasan's opponents in the World Cup preparations are Afghanistan and South Africa.
The Tigers are on a mission to bounce back from their poor performance in the last T20 World Cup. This time, Bangladesh will play directly in the Super Twelve. The Tigers will play against Afghanistan in the first warm-up match on October 17. The match will be held at the Allan Border Ground at 6 pm local time. Bangladesh will face the Proteas in their second warm-up match. The match will be held at the same ground on October 19.
The reigning World Cup champions will play just one warm-up match, against India on October 17, which will be broadcast live on ICC's global broadcaster partner Star Sports. The warm-up matches will begin on October 10 with the West Indies and United Arab Emirates matches.
