LPG prices have increased

The price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has gone down in the consumer level.

12kg LPG cylinder from today (September 7) It will cost 1 thousand 235 taka, which was 1 thousand 219 taka earlier. That is, the price of 12 kg LPG has gone up to 16 taka.

The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) announced the new prices on Wednesday morning. It will be effective from 1 pm today.

According to BERC, the private level has made LPG gas 102 taka 88 per kg for the month of September. Accordingly, the maximum retail price of 12 kg cylinder LPG will be 1 thousand 235 taka. Therefore, the customer will have to pay 16 taka more for 12 kg cylinder in September.

The main ingredients for LPG making, propane and butane are imported from different countries, the Saudi Arabian company Aramco reveals the value of these two components of LPG every month, known as Saudi Cargo Price (CP).

This Saudi CPK is based in the country with a base price BERC has compensated the price of LPG. According to Saudi CP, the price of propane and butane in September is $650 and $630 per ton, mixing ratio is 35:65. This new price has been set for September.
