A special court of the CBI ordered Anubrata Mondal, the influential leader of the ruling Trinamool Congress in India's West Bengal, to be remanded in jail.
Anubrat's bail request on Wednesday was dismissed by Asansol's special CBI court judge Rajesh Chakraborty, the next hearing date of the case will be held on October 5. The hearing will be held in the Asansol CGM court on Wednesday.
Today lawyer Sandeepan Gangopadhyay And lawyer Anirban Guha Thakurta applied for bail for their client Anuvrata, their argument was that the main accused in the cow smuggling case had been granted bail and then they applied for bail highlighting the physical situation of Anubrata.
On the other hand, CBI lawyer Rakesh Kumar said, ‘A lot of money has been transacted through two voluntary organizations. A lot of money has been given through banks. A lot of colleges have been built in the name of voluntary organizations, and there have been states in other states except this state.‘
The CBI said Anuvrata is so influential that he can cause problems in various investigations when he goes out, and the judge dismissed the bail plea after the two sides' solemn-answer.
