Younger brother gets life sentence for killing elder brother in Lakshmipur

The court sentenced the younger brother Abdul Mannan to life imprisonment for the murder of his brother Abdul Hannan in Da Didte Kupi due to a family dispute in the district headquarters.

Judge Mohammad Rahibul Islam of District and Datra Judge Court gave this Raat at 12 noon on Tuesday.

District Judge's Court Counselor (PP) Jasim Uddin confirmed the poison, Mannan killed his brother in Da Di, his father Abul Kalam. The complaint against Mannan in the court has been sentenced to life imprisonment.

Convicted Mannan is the son of Abul Kalam of Charparbatinagar village of Parvatinagar Unit of Sadar Upazila.

On the night of February 19, 2019, Hannan insulted his younger brother Mannan due to family strife.

The investigation officer of the case and Sub-Inspector (SI) of Sadar Model Police Station Rana Das filed a charge sheet against Mannan in the court on March 15 of the same year. After a long hearing and taking evidence, the court sentenced the accused Mannan to life imprisonment.
