Shamim Patwary made his debut in the national team in July 2021. This left-handed hard-hitting batter caught everyone's attention on his debut against Zimbabwe. However, lack of form did not allow him to stay at 22 yards for long. He recently started a new innings of life by marrying his classmate. Shamim's wedding pictures have been circulating on social media. His wife's name is Yusra Jahan Noor. However, none of them have officially announced anything yet.

Shamim announced his marriage to everyone last night in a post from his Facebook profile. In the caption, he wrote, 'From classmate to gamemate, and finally, soulmate. Alhamdulillah! Please pray for us.'

Shamim's post is flooded with congratulations from fans, supporters and teammates. He also received a message of congratulations from BPL team Chittagong Challengers. The franchise wrote on its Facebook page, 'Wishing you a happy married life, Challenger Shamim Hossain Patwary. New hope, new challenge. Congratulations to both of you.'

Shamim's statistics show that he has not yet been able to match that in 10 T20Is for the national team. During this time, he has scored 124 runs at an average of 15.5 and a strike rate of 111.7. However, the Under-19 World Cup-winning cricketer is currently training, even though he is out of the national team.
