Locals pray to save Kamalnagar from river erosion

In Kamalnagar of Lakshmipur, special doa and prayers have been organized to prevent erosion of Meghna river, which caused the residents of the affected areas to cry. Everyone prays to Allah to be free from breaking and praying for the blessings of the ancestral home and grave protection of the grave.

On Friday (October 28) around 10 am, a large number of people were present at the prayer of Ludhta area of Charfalkan Unityan of the upazila at around 10 am.

This meeting was conducted by Kamalnagar Upazila Imam Association President Qari Maulana Gitas Uddin.

Under the direction of Imran Hossain Shakeel, Kamalnagar Upazila Parishad Kamalnagar Ramgati Bachao Manch convener Abdus Sattar Paloan and local dignitaries were present.

Sources said that the contractors have stopped working in the sand crisis and the allocation money, they will start working if they get money and the sand crisis is done.

According to the Water Development Board, 2021, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina approved a project of Tk 31,000 crore for the 31 km river bank protection dam in ECNEC meeting in 2021. To that end, the Meghna area of Saheberhat Uniton in Kamalnagar, the last 9 January, was the State Minister for Water Resources (Reg.) Zahid Farooq inaugurated the work.

Attorney Abdus Sattar Paloan told Palli News, "Jortar, my mother's grave water rises. When I see it, I have said that my liver will explode. If I see this, I have said that I will bury me next to my mother. But if the riverside protection dam does not materialize quickly, everything will disappear. For this, we have raised our hands to God to save us from the river.
