Own News: The Upazila Awami League has organized a prayer and discussion meeting on the occasion of National District Murder Day in Kamalnagar, Lakshmipur.
Less than three months after the brutal murder of Bangabandhu and his family on August 15, four national leaders and one of the organizers of the Liberation War, Syed Nazrul Islam, Tajuddin Ahmed, AHM Kamaruzzaman and Captain Mansur Ali, were killed in Dhaka Central Jail on this day. Earlier, these four national leaders were sent to the Central Jail after August 15.
The discussion meeting at the Upazila Awami League office on November 3 (Thursday) was chaired by Upazila Awami League President Chairman Nizam Uddin and moderated by Upazila Awami League General Secretary Advocate Nurul Amin Raju.
Also present at the time were Upazila Awami League Vice President Monirul Islam, Upazila Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Islam Dolan, as well as the presidents and general secretaries of all union Awami Leagues, as well as leaders and activists of all affiliated organizations.
All the speakers prayed for the eternal peace of the soul of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, including the four national leaders, and called on leaders and activists from all walks of life to remain united in all situations.
