Argentina defeated France in a thrilling final to win the World Cup in Qatar. Despite the team's defeat, Kylian Mbappe won the Golden Boot with a total of 8 goals in the tournament, including a hat-trick in the final. Messi lost the Golden Boot to Mbappe despite scoring 7 goals in the match.
