The writer makes serious accusations against the Awami League, and the International Crimes Tribunal that was set up to bring to justice those that participated in the murder and rape of Bangladeshi citizens with the help of the Pakistani Army during the liberation war. The writer claims the tribunal was set up to kill and torture all political opponents. The writer even called Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her family - dictators and traitors

Protesters claim the book is still in circulation and they are worried it can influence people during the election in the coming days. They want to see the writer dead, and want all book copies destroyed immediately. They say the whole book is nothing but propaganda and lies against the Awami League.

Police have asked the agitated public for calm. They confirmed that books are being destroyed with the help of the publisher, Megna Mofas in Shahbag, and it will take some time to locate all the copies already sold, but assured the public that law enforcement will not rest until all copies of the book are destroyed. Police also confirmed that the writer was outside the country and he will be arrested and prosecuted when he returns to Bangladesh.
