Following complaints lodged by Bangladesh Chhatra League to the police for action against Yesmin Rukaya, the editor of www.provatbangla.com for spreading anti-Awami League propaganda, the police have now confirmed that they have established the identity of Yesmin Rukaya from information from her website and a visit to her residential address in Jashore. According to the police, Yesmin Rukaya is currently overseas, but she will be arrested upon return to Bangladesh for offences under the Cyber Security Act 2023, which allows the police to arrest anyone without an arrest warrant.
