India loses 'Ratna' in Ratan Tata, Tendulkar-Rohit mourns

Ratan Tata is one of the world famous industrialists of India. He was the chairman emeritus of Tata Group, one of the country's largest industrial conglomerates. He died at the age of 86 on Wednesday while undergoing treatment at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai.

Sachin Tendulkar's India became the champion in this tournament held with India, Australia and South Africa. However, after the fixing controversy started in the late nineties, the Tata Group, led by Ratan Tata, withdrew from Indian cricket.

Then the company signed a contract with IPL for four years worth 25 billion rupees. As for the money which is the highest in the history of the tournament. BCCI also started Women's Premier League after the success of IPL. Tata Group is the title sponsor of this tournament till 2027.

Ratan Tata was personally very friendly with many cricketers. That is why his death has cast a shadow of mourning among Indian cricketers.

Legendary Sachin Tendulkar wrote about him on social media X, 'Mr. in life and death. Ratan Tata has moved the entire nation. I am lucky to spend time with him. Those who never got to meet him are as saddened as I am today. His influence was so great.'

India's Test and ODI team captain Rohit Sharma wrote on X, 'A man's heart is wrapped in gold. Sir, you will forever be remembered for truly giving your life to the good of others.'

Another legendary Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag wrote on X, 'We have lost a real gem of India, Sri Ratan Tataji. His life is an inspiration to us all, he will live on in my heart.'

Former India wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik wrote, 'Rest in peace, Indian icon. A role model to many, an inspiration to an entire nation. Mr. Ratan Tata your legacy will live forever.'
