First accused arrested 10 years after Tanu's murder

On Wednesday (April 22) afternoon, Senior Judicial Magistrate of Comilla Sadar Amli Court-1 Mominul Haque ordered the remand. The Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) brought the accused to the court and applied for remand and the court granted it.

 

Earlier, the investigation officer of the case, Tariqul Islam, arrested the suspect Hafizur Rahman from his residence on April 6. On April 6, the investigation officer asked the court for a cross-match for the three suspects, who were the three suspects: Sergeant Zahid, Warrant Officer Hafizur Rahman and soldier Shahinul Alam.

According to court sources, the much-discussed case has so far set 80 hearings, and seven officials of four organizations have investigated the sensational cases in the last decade.
 
On March 20, 2016, Sohagi Jahan Tanu, a student of Victorita Government College, went missing for tuition inside the Comilla cantonment and found her frozen body from a forest near the cantonment's powerhouse after much searching.
