Meanwhile, ‘in Europe, especially in Germany, the presence of US troops protects the interests of both the United States and us,’ Pistorias said in a statement to the Ministry of Defense to CNN on Saturday.
Pistorias emphasized the need to take on more responsibility for Europe's own security and said that Germany is on the right track in this regard.
