Security has been strengthened in Gopalganj, which has been deployed in any unpleasant situation in the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and has been patrolling the important swamps and areas of the city since Wednesday morning, along with the police and RAB members are also patrolling with them.

On July 16 last year, five people were killed in a clash between the leaders and workers of Aomi League and the law enforcement agencies over the Jati Nagrik Party (NCP) march in Gopalganj, which will mark the year of the incident.

Gopalganj Deputy Commissioner Md Arif-uz-Zaman confirmed the poison of BGB Motaen in Prothom Alo, he said, "If any kind of chaos or law and order situation is deteriorating, it is ready to deal with it."

According to law enforcement and local sources, the law and order situation may worsen or some kind of unpleasant situation may be created due to the fact that the incident of last year's clash is one year, so the security measures are being taken in advance. Due to this, the district administration and law enforcement agencies are taking precautions in Gopalganj.
