ICT Minister calls on engineers to work efficiently in telecommunications development

Fakir Mahbub Anam, Minister of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology and Ministry of Science and Technology, Fakir Mahbub Anam said that engineers' talent, skills and innovative thinking should be used to ensure better quality communication services for the development, modernity and quality communication services for all.

He said this in the speech of the chief guest with the assistant department engineers who joined the 27th BCS telecom cadre at the Directorate of Telecommunications in Tejgaon in the capital on Wednesday.

The minister said that the telecommunication system is one of the mainstays of economic and social development of a country in the present world. Bangladesh is also moving forward in the midst of rapid digital transformation. It is important to bring up the infrastructure of skilled human resources and modern technology based on the development of this progress.

The minister said, "Government is not just a job, it is an important opportunity to serve the people. Honesty, professionalism, accountability and patriotism should be given utmost importance in fulfilling the duality. They also urged them to enrich their skills and knowledge in a natural way with the rapid change of technology.

Fakir Mahbub Anam said that by increasing the capacity of the telecom sector, advanced and uninterrupted communication services should be reached to the people of the remote areas of the country. At the same time, everyone concerned should work sincerely to ensure effective, quality and people-friendly telecommunication services.

The assistant department engineers who joined the 27th BCS telecommunication cadre presented their identity and exchanged views on their expectations and action plans at the development of the telecom sector. At the beginning of the introduction meeting, the Minister visited the Cyber Threat Detection and Response (CTDR) center located in the Directorate of Telecommunications.
