“Keeping in mind the slogan "The Right to Shelter is Sheikh Hasina's Gift", an inauguration and discussion meeting was organized for the ongoing housing construction work in Ramgati Upazila of Lakshmipur under the Shelter Project-2, one of the 10 special initiatives of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, to ensure housing for all. On Tuesday (September 25) at 11 am, the inauguration and exchange of views meeting was held in the Upazila Conference Room under the chairmanship of Upazila Executive Officer Azgar Ali. The chief guest was local MP Md. Abdullah Al Mamun MP, special guests were Upazila Chairman Abdul Wahed, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Ajit Deb, Thana Officer-in-Charge Md. Iqbal Hossain, Upazila A'League Acting President Abdur Wahed Murad, Upazila Vice Chairman Ahmed Ullah, Women's Vice Chairman Marjina Begum. Speeches were delivered by Barakheri UP Chairman and Freedom Fighter Commander Hasan Mahmud Ferdous, Ramiz UP Chairman Golam Sarwar, Chargazi UP Chairman Tauhidul Islam Suman, etc. After the exchange of views, the guests inaugurated the construction of 239 houses under Ramgati Upazila.
