Human chain formed to prevent child marriage in Lakshmipur

Child Marriage Prevention Day was observed in Lakshmipur with the slogan 'Kanya Shishu Jagran, Anbe Desh Unnayan'. After an hour-long human chain in front of the Zilla Parishad in the morning, the rally went out and circled the city.

Present at the event were District Council Member Farida Yasmin Lika, District Children's Affairs Officer Abdullah Al Jabbar, BRAC Officer Md. Faruk Hossain, and teachers and students from various educational institutions.

Speakers at the human chain said that local public representatives and conscious citizens in every village should come forward along with the administration to stop child marriage. They also called for a social boycott of child marriage.
