BNP central committee member and Shailkupa Upazila BNP president Md. Abdul Wahab was a two-term parliamentarian from Jhenaidah-1 constituency.

Earlier, on October 25, the same court sentenced former MP and BNP Chairperson's advisor Mashiur Rahman to 10 years in prison in an ACC case. At the same time, it ordered the confiscation of assets worth Tk 10.569 crore, which were not related to his known income.
