The commission is ready for early elections if the government wants, said Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda. Responding to a question from reporters after a meeting with a European Union delegation this evening, he said, "If the government says early elections, we can do it, we are prepared for that."
He also said, "We will have 90 days for the elections. We will invite foreign observers before the national elections. The EU representatives are satisfied with the environment for the elections. We have told them that we are committed to a good election."
